In this fascinating 10-week study, we’ll look at the ‘last days’ not through the usual study of eschatology (the study of end-time prophecy, literally, “the study of end things”), but through the lens of RELATIONSHIPS -- preparing, guarding and managing our hearts well, with loyal love to help each other make it to the finish line.
Most people have an idea of what the term “last days” means to them. Everybody talks about the “WHAT” and the “WHEN” of the last days ... what will happen as end-time events unfold? When will Jesus return and take us out of here??
In this study, we’re going to talk about the “HOW” ...
HOW can we help our hearts stay at peace -- not giving way to fear, but staying sober and alert while nurturing a bright hope as we grow in fearless love and bold faith?
HOW do we avoid the traps of some traditional last days teachings which encourage obsessive attention to timelines that either cause fear and panic, or promote laziness, apathy and passivity?
HOW do we steer clear of the scary "hide, hoard, and shoot your hungry neighbor" mindset and thrive instead? HOW do we learn to work together in community and share resources?
