Learning with Our Equine Partners

It started with Hannah

Through some remarkable and truly miraculous events, a lovely black Percheron mare named Hannah came into our lives in the summer of 2013. Her owner was not able to ride her anymore and reluctantly decided to seek a forever home for her beloved girl where she would be dearly loved, well-cared for, and find purposeful work. We met Hannah and her owner saw that we would be good together. By two miracles of provision in one week, we were supplied the funds to purchase her and bring her home. We will be forever grateful to Hannah’s mom for entrusting our beautiful big girl to us.

Hannah, whose name means “grace and favor”, was God’s first gift to Freedom Farm, His investment in our future therapeutic herd to help women heal and grow. -Since moving to our new home at Maple Ridge PLACE, Hannah and her best friend little mini mare Josie now reside at the farm as we prepare to launch our HeartSkills with Horses equine-assisted coaching program. As soon as pasture fencing is installed this spring (2023), we will be looking to add two more equines, a donkey and a driving pony, to our therapeutic herd.

Equine-Assisted HeartSkills™ Coaching

HeartSkills™ Coaching will soon offer HeartSkills™ with Horses equine-assisted learning in addition to, or in combination with, our one-on-one coaching, workshops, small group studies and permaculture gardening programs.
