Hannah & Emily

Through some remarkable and truly miraculous events, a lovely black 16.3h Percheron draft mare named Hannah came into our lives in the summer of 2013. Her owner was not able to ride her anymore and reluctantly decided to seek a forever home for her beloved girl where she would be dearly loved, well-cared for, and find purposeful work. We met Hannah and her owner saw that we would be good together. By two miracles of provision in one week, we were supplied the funds to purchase her and bring her home. We will be forever grateful to Hannah’s mom for entrusting beautiful Hannah to us.

Hannah, whose name means “grace and favor”, was God’s first gift to Freedom Farm, His investment in our future therapeutic herd to help women heal and grow. We now partner with our dear friend Sharon Mitchell who graciously hosts our equine-assisted coaching and therapy programs at her property in Kingsley and shares her herd of four horses, Billy, Bella, Napoleon and Josephine (Josie) with Hannah.
